As my journey through Lagertha’s character textures concluded, I decided to momentarily set aside the remaining parts, acknowledging that some elements were already pre-textured, ready to be harmoniously integrated later. With this thought, I turned my focus to a companion who had patiently awaited their turn – the Raven.

The task at hand was to bring life to the Raven’s textures, to paint an essence of ethereal feathers and ink-dark eyes that would resonate with the character’s mystique. Unlike the pre-textured elements, Raven’s textures demanded a hands-on approach, a venture into the intricate world of manually placing textures to create a symphony of feathers.

With the help of textures I had crafted earlier, I began the dance of texturing, applying simplicity to the Raven’s body while paying close attention to the intricate details of its feathers. The feather textures, carefully designed and arranged, became the heartbeat of this process. Each feather was a canvas in itself, painted with subtlety and precision to capture the play of light and shadow that breathes life into feathers.

This endeavour wasn’t about mere texturing; it was a whispered dialogue with artistry and nature. As I worked, I imagined the Raven taking flight, its feathers ruffling in the wind, carrying tales of the Viking world. Each feather card, carefully placed, was a stroke of life, a testament to the devotion poured into crafting a worthy companion for Bloodaxe.

The Raven’s textures were a testament to the power of imagination translated into the language of textures, a tribute to the delicate balance between artistic intent and technical execution. With the Raven’s textures complete, it was as if the companion had sprung from the realms of myth to perch upon the threshold of reality.
